Hola! We are having an amazing time. Yesterday we went to an area called Miraflores, which is the nicer part of Lima... about a 20 minute taxi ride from the church. We hung out with Kay Panaggio and Melany (she is Miguel and Crystal´s daughter and has been a life saver by translating for us) while John was conducting a conference. Mark was looking like "the man" with six women all day. John and Jim Panaggio met up with later to go Fountain Park, which is a water park with a dozen different giant fountains to watch (with light shows and music) and also play in. John called it the Cedar Point of Peru.

Some funny things have been happening. In random order... 1.) Christina was electrocuted by "the widow maker" (the shower with questionable wiring for the hot water). She couldn´t feel her pinky finger for about half an hour. She is alive and well, but will not even unplug the flat iron... she wants no part of electricity any longer! 2.) When we were in the Atlanta airport on our layover, we went into T.G.I. Fridays for a meal. It was really hot so, John started to remove his sweater, but he said, ¨"Don´t worry, I have a shirt underneat this." But when he pulled up his sweater, his tshirt came with it and he was fumbling trying to get his shirt back on. We were all rolling with laughter as we saw him half naked in the restaurant and beat red with embarassment! Too bad I didn´t have the camera out at that moment! 3.) I apparently don´t know how to apply sunscreen correctly and now have patches of red sunburned skin all over my neck, chest and arms. Derrr. 4.) When Jim P., Victor and Pastor Garcia picked us up from the airport we were driving back to the church in a bus. John wanted me to ask Victor about the new job he was going to be starting soon. I was really fumbling with my Spanish, and ended up asking, with skewed Spanish words, "I work your nine job." But I meant to ask about his NEW job. I said I work instead of you work and said nine instead of new... nueve vs. nuevo. HA! Let me just say that I am gotten much better over the last few days, but yo forget how speak to english. 5.) Some masonries came to work on the third floor of the church yesterday, and so when we returned last night Liz and Carey found a pile of concreate rubble in their room. Later that night while sleeping, a landslide of new rubble came crashing down. Liz slept like a champ, but Carey jerked awake and then shrugged it off and went back to sleep. We´ve become accustomed to craziness.

Miss you all  -Megan
