The team primarily worked in Chincha, Peru helping to build adobe homes. A year earlier, an earthquake had devastated Chincha (about a 3-hour drive south of Lima, Peru) and our team went to aide in relief efforts. They returned to Lima, Peru and conducted more outreach activities and English classes for the last few days of the trip.

The all encompassing goal of this mission trip was to build relationships. We also worked on a construction project where we helped put a third story onto the existing church. We were involved in additional ministries which included an Olympic Youth Event, Ladies’ Bible study, Community Outreach Dinner, and Outreach English Classes.

The intent of this visionary trip was three-fold: (1) begin to build a relationship with El Afarero Eglesia, The Potter’s Church, with the goal of forming a long-term partnering relationship, (2) lay groundwork and explore future ministry opportunities (construction, medical, spiritual, or whatever is needed), (3) teach Outreach English Classes (OEC).
